Heart of Queenscliff - charming guesthouse

Great location but that is all it had going for it. I would NOT book this again. Positive: The only great thing about this place was the location. Once we arrived you did not need your car all weekend as everything was walking distrance. Negative: The photos & description are desiving. 1. Firstly you were in the "back house" not the main house - that would be nice to know. 2. It was difficult to find the lock box behind the gate & down a path - again might be nice to know this as your ad makes it out as if we are in the front main house. 3. The bathroom was so small you have to dry yourself in the shower otherwise you had to leave the door open & your butt was literally in the kitchen. 4. We opened the bathroom cabinets to store my toiletries & in the top draw was dirty & had someone's fake eyelash in there. Then the 2nd draw was full of someone's hair - quite disgusting. 5. As the house had tiles through out it was so cold we had to leave the heater on all weekend. 6. The first bedroom has no hanging space at all. 7. The outdoor space was so old & dirty it looked like it had never been cleaned in year. I was looking forward to sitting out in that space but I should not have to pay $463 to go away & clean before I sit down!! 8. It advertised an iron & laundry facilities - again these were locked in the front house - again this information would have been useful to know. You felt like to you were going into someone else's house - very uncomfortable.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly even giving us two muffins for our journey as we left. Negative: It was unexpectedly central to the town. The built and natural beauty of the place.

A three night stay close to the heart of town that was made very enjoyable with the excellent accomodation and friendly Positive: The bedrooms were very comfortable. The rest of the house was cozy and well equipped. Negative: Not a lot.

Was good value for money and centrally located within walking distance of the blues train Positive: Quiet and close to everything, clean and cosy Negative: The couch is very uncomfortable but otherwise good for 2 couples to stay in comfort

Overall it was good.The neighbours were friendly. Positive: Good location. Negative: Couldn’t see much from the house.
